Music video [Version 2]

*This version was presented to a class of about 20 and it was in my power to choose four judges that would best judge my music video in relation to the genre and typical audience* 

Feedback:

• Effects are conventional 
• Excellent lighter shot 
• Excellent fight sequence 
• Excellent shot of boy singing into the mic
• Some drum sequences are good but go on for too long
• Editing is strong 
• Some of the footage itself is what lets to music video down 
• Lighting is great
• Narrative shots are great
• Performance shots go on for too long
• Performance shots require a live feel to them. This is not executed
• Nice use of opacity 
• Could possibly use more people and therefore have more of a band 
• The video seems too busy in places
• The flashing does not work in some places
• Some shots really work such as the performer singing into the microphone and the single drummer. 
• The shots seem too long
• The music lets it down 
• The idea fits well with the convention but maybe not done as well as it could be 
• Really amazing editing, the beginning and ending shots with a lighter are really good.

"Effects may be conventional but they are not being used selectively enough in my opinion - the video still feels too effects heavy. Where the video works well - the lighter shots/fight sequence and boy singing to microphone but editing doesn't match the pace of the song consistently - the video is let down by the actually footage itself - there is an attempts for effects to hide it but it feels more style over substance at the motion. Both ancillary tasks feel like an afterthought and they need to have original images so will need to be re-done."
