For this task I will be demonstrating inspiration from different forms of media with a particular focus on style. I will be doing this in preparation for costumes for my own music video.
My chosen music genre is heavily influenced by the dark colour styles and the features of having bright colours such as red with the actors/band members I want focused and/or associated with the audience. I have seen this throughout my research into conventions so this is not something that is new to this genre. Sin city is a reference and the best example to the black and white style featuring red to bring through the connotations of red being violence and love while also focusing on what the director wants focused.
This task will help me outline the different type of ideas for costumes I want to incorporate into my video and will furthermore aid me in the planning stage of this project.
