[Task 11] Audience Research

To research the audience of my project, I had to look into collecting unanimous results from fans of the Metal genre. To do so, I carried out a survey on a website called 'Survey Monkey' and gave out the link to 15 participants.

I found the results quite interesting but nothing really came as a surprise to what people expect of this genre.  Participants were mostly male and between the ages of 16 to 18. A lot of their favourite bands  and music videos were fast pace, intense and gave good live performances so this gives me ideas of making my music video seem live and choosing fast pace/intense lyrics.

For this, I have created a Voki to represent a main character for my participants ideas.

This then has helped me puzzle together what I need to include when it comes to my own music video. I now know who I need to make my music video appeal to.

From the completion of this task, I have further developed my views on my target audience and the importance of establishing this target audience. From doing this task, I can insure that I am including what is required of this genre. To make a successful music video, one must at all times consider their target audience at all times.
